Christopher A. Johnson is a Western New York attorney based in Lockport, representing individuals, property owners, and families in real estate matters, landlord-tenant law, estate planning, and civil disputes.
A native of the region, Christopher was born in Newfane and raised in Lockport. He graduated with honors from Lockport High School, earned his Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction from Pennsylvania State University, and received his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
During law school, Christopher began his legal career with a Manhattan-based law firm focused on corporate finance and investment banking. He later served as a Deputy District Attorney in Weld County, Colorado, gaining courtroom experience and a practical foundation in litigation. Upon returning to Western New York, Christopher practiced for nearly a decade at a Buffalo-based law firm before establishing his own practice in Lockport. His experience spans both transactional and litigation matters, with a focus on delivering efficient, results-oriented legal solutions.
In addition to his legal practice, Christopher has built and operated successful business ventures, including a multi-state private investigations firm and a medical aesthetics business. This background provides a practical understanding of the legal and operational challenges faced by business owners and property investors. Christopher founded The Law Office of Christopher A. Johnson PLLC in 2024 with the objective of providing focused, high-quality legal services to clients in Western New York. The firm emphasizes clear communication, efficient execution, and a disciplined multi-dimensioanl approach to resolving legal matters.
Joseph Leposa serves as a paralegal with The Law Office of Christopher A. Johnson PLLC, where he supports the firm’s legal operations, client communication, document preparation, transaction coordination, and case management. His work assists the firm across a range of matters, including real estate transactions, matrimonial and family law matters, estate planning, civil disputes, contracts, and general file management.
Joseph Leposa serves as a paralegal with The Law Office of Christopher A. Johnson PLLC, where he supports the firm’s legal operations, client communication, document preparation, transaction coordination, and case management. His work assists the firm across a range of matters, including real estate transactions, matrimonial and family law matters, estate planning, civil disputes, contracts, and general file management.
Joseph brings a distinctive professional background that combines technology, cybersecurity, public service, and legal support. Before joining the legal field, he spent more than six years as a Data Center Technician with Yahoo!, where he developed a strong foundation in systems infrastructure, technical documentation, operational accuracy, troubleshooting, and process-driven work. He later served for six years as a Deputy Sheriff, gaining firsthand experience in public service, investigations, procedure, crisis response, accountability, and clear communication under pressure.
Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity and is preparing to attend law school. His combined experience in technology, law enforcement, cybersecurity, and legal operations gives him a practical, detail-oriented approach to legal support. He understands the importance of precision, organization, confidentiality, deadlines, and careful documentation — all of which are essential to effective legal representation.
At the firm, Joseph helps coordinate client communications, prepare and organize legal documents, manage transaction details, maintain case files, and support the attorney’s work from intake through resolution. He approaches each matter with discipline, responsiveness, and an understanding that legal issues often affect the most important parts of a client’s life, including their home, family, finances, business, and future.
Based in the Rochester area, Joseph is also a husband and father of three. His professional background and family-centered perspective allow him to bring both structure and humanity to his work, helping clients feel informed, supported, and confident as their matters move forward.
